Mana Common Breaks Ground on First Wynwood Development Project
The project will serve as the new Wynwood HQ for the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce and a Miami-Dade County office building.

This Tuesday, September 15th, Mana Common is kicking off its long-anticipated first Wynwood development project. The three-story, 35,410-square-foot headquarters for the South Florida Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce will incorporate artist studios, a cafe, offices, meeting space, and a community center. The location will also contain offices for Miami-Dade County’s CAHSD Community Action and Human Services Department as well as a satellite office for the District 3 County Commissioner.
Puerto Rican immigrants settled in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood in the 1950s, creating a thriving, vibrant community.
The early residents of Wynwood were a key part of making it the artistic and cultural icon that it is today. It was only right for it to be the home of the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce.

The project will allow the chamber, currently located in Miami’s Midtown neighborhood, to relocate to the new MANA building in Wynwood by November 2021. Sponsored by Miami-Dade Commission Chairwoman Audrey Edmonson, the $8.6 million project will be financed by $2 million in bonds from Miami-Dade County, with MANA financing the balance.
This new facility will allow us to strengthen our presence and offer enhanced services. For decades, the chamber has been supporting small businesses within South Florida’s Puerto Rican Community. With our new community center, we can expand these services to artists and other individual entrepreneurs as well.

The groundbreaking for this new project will take place at 10am, on Tuesday, September 15th at 2900 NW 5th Ave in Miami. Expected to be in attendance are: Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, Miami-Dade County Commission Chairwoman Audrey Edmonson, Mana Group CEO Moishe Mana, business leaders from South Florida’s Puerto Rican Community, and other public officials and dignitaries. Facial masks are required for those in attendance and social-distancing protocols will be strictly observed.
