Aug 22, 2022 · 2 Minute ReadIt’s been a busy month of curation for the Mana Contemporary Chicago campus community. The day before a virtual ‘Open Book’ session with Matt Austin, the Pilsen cultural center continued their ongoing ‘Community Lunch’ tradition.
Community Lunch is an in-person series where artists convene with fellow colleagues and exchange ideas over lunch. This past Wednesday’s edition was hosted by Chicago-based curator and writer Allison Peters Quinn.
Over 30 artists enjoyed conversation and a fascinating presentation by Quinn. Over the past 10 years, she has been focused on projects addressing the intersections between art, public space and civically-minded practices. Currently, Quinn serves as the Director of Exhibition and Residency Programs at Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago.
Community Lunch events are open to the public and free to attend. Be sure to follow along with Mana Contemporary by visiting their Instagram and official website for further information on upcoming community events.
