After 10 years, the artist-run assembly known as MdW is making its long-awaited return. With a renewed mission and the help of an expanded group of seven organizing partners, this MdW Fair will be one to remember. Witness over 100 artist-led exhibitions, as two floors of Mana Contemporary Chicago will be filled with various pavilions, art booths, publisher tables, and installations. There will also be open programming platforms such as a print lab, screening space, presentation space, and more. Please register below in order to reserve your spot.
Mana Contemporary Chicago will be hosting an Open House in conjunction with the MdW Fair. There’s no better way to experience art than in real life, learning about the artist’s work firsthand.
Monira Foundation will be hosting a guided tour of the current exhibition Hollywood 24 by Michael Heizer. Following the tour, there will be a screening of the 2015 documentary, Troublemakers: The Story of Land Art. Directed by James Crump, the film follows the story of daring, unconventional New York artists who sought to transcend creative barriers with their experimentation with land art in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.
All events are open to the public and free to attend. Registration is required to attend the MdW Fair, while the Open House, exhibition tour and film screening do not require registration in advance.
